125 Anniversary Calendar
In April 2023, Portsmouth Football Club celebrated its 125th anniversary. To coordinate and plan the celebrations, the club teamed up with key stakeholders to mark this special occasion.
The 125 committee is chaired by Colin Farmery, who also leads Pompey History Society, and includes representatives from the club, Pompey Supporters' Trust, Pompey in the Community, the Tony Goodall Fans’ Conference, Pompey Women and other key personnel, such as former players, represented by Alan Knight, and the University of Portsmouth.

2023
February 24: The Official History of Pompey Cards & Stickers curated into a book
March 29: 'Champions Wall' unveiled in North Stand
March 30: Launch of 1978, 1987 and 1991 retro replica Pompey shirts
April 1: 125th birthday game including a parade of former players at half-time
April 1: 125 Merchandise available to buy in club store, from mugs and scarves to limited edition watches and glassware
April 10: Founders’ Day game
April 23: Ten years of community ownership celebrated with a pre-match show produced by students from University of Portsmouth
May 15: Creative writers in residence start roles for the 2023/24 season
June 5: Pompey Women brought under Tornante Ownership
July 10: 125 Pompey Lottery Scheme launched
August 1: Renovation of the Milton End at Fratton Park
August 4: 125 Anniversary salmon pink kit launched
August 5: 125 historic programme cover series begins
September 12: 125 historical friendly against Royal Artillery
September 23: Unveiling of Jimmy Dickinson statue
October 3: Launch of Portsmouth FC 125 history book
November 11: Remembrance Day Fixture – saluting the armed forces
November 24: Inclusion Day fixture – celebrating Pompey's inclusion teams and the story of Lindy Delapenha, who made his debut against Blackpool in 1948
December 10: Portsmouth FC 125th anniversary concert by the Portsmouth Philharmonic in aid of Pompey in the Community

February 5: Talk at University of Portsmouth on the production of the 125 History Book to kick off Portsmouth BookFest 2024
February 14: Atilla The Stockbroker - For the Love of Football' as part of Portsmouth BookFest 2024
February 17: Fratton First! Celebrating Pompey's first ever league game at Fratton Park against Reading
April 1: Champions of England Day – Celebrating the 75th anniversary of Pompey's first title win
April 5: 125th Anniversary Dinner at Fratton Park, relaunching the Hall of Fame Dinner
April 6: Former players' day for the match against Shrewsbury
